I recently started moving from Obsidian to Notion and was looking for something to get me moving on my journey in this new environment. I reviewed Ultimate Tasks which provided an incredible amount of information but wanted a bigger and more complete example of a Notion implementation. A huge thanks to Thomas and the team for this template and all the work you put into it! I’ve tried to come up with a system that fits my needs for quite some time now, but always found it lacking. I have been looking for something like Ultimate Brain for years. I started reading Building a Second Brain and came across Thomas Frank's YouTube tutorial. I have watched his videos before on Notion but I am not zoned into creating my own templates. This is a complete game changer. I can't thank you enough for putting this together. As an aged geek, I spend hours playing with the tech but never quite get around to doing anything useful with it. Investing in the UB means I am actually using Notion - not messing about (and at my age, I don't have the time to waste). I have made more progress with my second brain in a week than I have in the last 6 months, thanks to the UB. When I buy things it usually doesn't take me long to find something that's missing or might be better done another way......so far that hasn't happened with UB. One week in, and I'm already seen fabulous results. After creating a channel for each of my projects, I immediately saw that some of the projects were undoable, so I've trimmed them down to something realistic. Also, my podcast episode workflow is nowhere near as overwhelming as it used to be. I can see all the steps for each episode, and I can move them from column to column as I complete each step. Love that. My only regret about Ultimate Brain is not having joined in before.

This is an easy product to recommend. Being a Bullet Journal user for about seven years I've struggled to find a digital productivity substitute. Having tried several alternatives they've always lacked the breadth of features I was looking for. That's where Ultimate Brain has come in. Ultimate Brain is a very comprehensive solution. It's many features may seem daunting, but the breadth of tutorials and access to the support channel have made ramp up time and usage a quick process. The ability to customize the solution to fit my needs has been refreshing. I live in the "My Day" section which provides access to everything important. Additionally I've been able to create areas for my day job, side gig, and hobbies allowing them all to be separate but easily accessable due to the shared database structure. All of this leads to an abandonment of my Bullet Journal and now I have access to everything from my desktop, iPad, and phone.

I liked the year I had with the August Bardley's system but Thomas Frank's looks like it will suit me better. I am only a week into it and still migrating but I can say that I enjoy the way that it supports PARA by having links between Projects, Areas, Resources, Tasks etc so conveniently and intuitively connected.

I have downloaded and sometimes purchased a few templates for Notion since I recently got it, but I have to say that Thomas Frank's "Ultimate Brain" is the most comprehensive and creative. As a college student, it can get really easy to forget assignments, loose class notes, and overall get overwhelmed by school. I have been using various note taking and task management apps over the years but never consolidated everything into one place. Ultimate Brain has decreased my stress levels by about a hundred percent. I've slightly tweaked the Notes database to create a custom Note type called "References", making Notion/Ultimate Brain my bibliography management tool. I've made templates for assignments that pull in relevant resources, default tasks, and a Kanban board for ideation and planning (which works much better than the wall full of post-it notes I used to use!). I can share Task pages to collaborate for group tasks. The relations between Projects, Tasks, and Notes mean that my class notes are always where I need them, and Notion's code snippet and LaTeX blocks have allowed me to build a repository of useful formulas, R and Python scripts. I'm not sure how I functioned before I started using Ultimate Brain. It's shaping up to be the best investment I've made in years.

I’ve been looking for an ultimate productivity app/ template to achieve organization in my personal, studies, and work life. I love using Calendar to remind me with everything that will happen in a day, but I also like to take notes, write daily journals, research stuffs for work, and write reviews or insights on a book I am reading currently. I can do all these with the Ultimate Brain and I am absolutely getting a lot of things done! I really like the recurring tasks and the subtasks feature! As a nurse leader and a student, I tend to get overloaded with informations, meetings, and deadlines! Ultimate brain have really helped me a lot!
