It was a dark and stormy evening when I realized that my IB HL English Literature exam was in...three weeks?! I had a whole freak-out sesh. Luckily, IB Resources directed me toward the #1 resource for IB English: LitLearn. As I began reading Jackson's lessons, I found myself beginning to understand what "deep analysis" truly means. He kept every lesson engaging - yes, even the grammar one!! - and I found myself WANTING to keep reading rather than reading solely due to the pressure of the upcoming exam. His interactive analysis examples were also VERY helpful as he would walk through his own thought processes when analyzing an extract (he's very smart :O). Jackson was also extremely willing to help me personally - I sent him multiple essays and always got fast responses with really detailed feedback. It's clear that he cares about his students. Today I wrote my exam, and I feel satisfied with my commentaries. I found that I did not have much difficulty with planning or structuring (for which Jackson has a really good lesson) and I was in a confident MOOD (an important concept in analysis that Jackson explains really well too!) when analyzing - I ended up finishing with enough time to re-read and make edits. Thank you Jackson; you and your course have helped me improve SO MUCH in only 3 weeks (!!), and I am so grateful.

My favorite thing about this course is definitely the structure. Content is sectioned by days, which makes tackling large portions of learning easier to manage, examples and analysis advice are given for all literary techniques, and Jackson's consistent light humor helps to make the learning process fun! I feel like I have a much better conceptual understanding of how to tackle a Paper 1, and I've learnt more from Litlearn in a few days than I have from my own teacher. I'm incredibly grateful.
