First, to call this a writing course is a little bit misleading. If you're looking for someone to help you understand how best to use the oxford comma or to teach you the traditional rules of prose, you're in the wrong place. This is more of a course on how to think like a writer. You'll learn to create endless content ideas that inspire and inform your audience. The kind of ideas that inspire people to change (and share your content). Then you'll learn the best practices for disseminating those ideas via the world wide web. If you want an online business or to have any real impact with your content, this course is well worth your time and money.

I'm Cheryl and I am becoming a successful content creator for cranky / unhappy Christians. All the parts of the 2 Hour Writer were my favorite. Going through everything first and taking notes was a great suggestion. Mind you, I'm 61 with years of depression wired in my brain, it was a bit overwhelming, but I believe I can become successful. The 2 Hour Writer was breath of fresh air, it is a long course but that's because Dan took his time and really went into depth, it's not a bunch of videos like most courses its mostly reading (he's a writer) but that makes it easier to take notes and re digest what you don't understand. Overall, I understand WHY writing is so important for us brand creators and the notion templates he gave us are golden. Great course full of value and I think I will save up and get the digital economics course, i'm still kinda broke.. for now ;)

I’ve recently gone out of highschool and I never knew what I wanted to study. Didn’t know what to do further. I’ve always wanted to learn how to start writing though, on topics such as philosophy, money and self growth. I’m not a native english speaker, so I had no idea where to even start. After taking Dan’s course I have so many ideas now. I’ve learned how to approach all of this in a way I never though of.

My favorite part of the course is the big ideas. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of templates and frameworks to help me make progress, but the big ideas inspired me to attempt things I hadn't even thought of prior to taking the course.

Hello there, my name is Yen Nguyen (a rather common name in Vietnam). I realized I was pushing myself through burnout in January which might have started sometime last March. Am currently reassessing my life. I been consuming content from your 2-hours writer course, reading "Atomic Habits", along with watching other "self improvement" related Youtube channels. It wasn't until watching your videos did things start to "click" with me. I've yet to narrow down what I want to goal-wise (lifestyle/health/coffee seems to be common theme). My biggest problem is to just get started and not try to be a perfectionist with my work. I will be taking on a part-time job while start improving my skillset during off hours of my day. That's my plan at the moment anyway. I'll start small, like coffee/food blogs first and then expand to short videos once I am comfortable (and have proper work environment). I've taken at least 50 courses in my lifetime. This one is in my top 3. This really took me from creating the most cringe worthy, non-informative tweets imaginable to making tweets that people connect with and WANT to share. The lessons inside didn't go completely over my head but weren't easy either. Dan did a great job organizing the course to guide you perfectly along the way. Being a guy that just loves to learn and soak up knowledge, I didn't really know what to do with it. Learning daily through reading, audiobooks, videos, etc. is extremely enjoyable to me, however I didn't have much of a system to put this knowledge into, and even worse, utilize it. My favorite part of the 2 Hour Writer was the systemic approach of writing long-form first, then turning that to medium form and short form. Before, I was overwhelmed by all these creatives on Twitter writing threads on "10 chrome extensions so valuable they feel illegal to know" because it felt so superficial to me. Now that I'm writing long-form first for my newsletter, the threads write themselves and have much more depth than my previous attempts. I really enjoyed the format of the 2 hour writer. Having it both in a text and video format made it so much easier to go through. It meant I could read it on the train and at lunch.
