Working with Jeremy marked a shift in my career and professional development. I had been searching for a new job for close to 6 months with very little traction and while the search didn't change after we worked together, I did. My entire outlook changed. This past summer I began working with Jeremy as I transitioned from teaching (17yrs) to Scrum Master. We connected through LinkedIn and I joined his summer group with other transitioning teachers where we implemented Scrum while creating a product of our choice. During this simulator cohort, Jeremy coached and guided us through each of the Scrum Accountabilities as we rotated the roles. He offered real-time feedback when needed, but also let us learn important concepts on our own. - all things a good Scrum Master and Agile Coach should do. It was through this group that I was introduced to my current employer. As cohort members we invited outside Agilists to join our Sprint Reviews to watch us in action, ask questions, and provide feedback. One of our stakeholders turned to our group when looking to expand their Agile team, and I was able to land my position as a Scrum Master. The best thing about working with Jeremy is that he is honest and tells it like it is. He's always learning and looking for industry trends, especially for people transitioning to Agile careers. Plus he is very personable and laughs at your jokes.

Jeremy not only gave me hope & encouragement, but also became a friend. Our paths are almost identical with so many similarities and hardships. His knowledge covers many areas, which I cannot wait to talk about more. If you are looking for advice, friendship, or guidance, Jeremy is an amazing person to look to. As a new Scrum master who has been asked to work with a Kanban team, I felt lost and definitely suffereing from the impostor syndrome. Jeremy has managed to help me focus, showed me a path to take and encouraged me discover it what lies on that path. I don't feel alone and scared that I will fail.
