I have always been an avid gym goer, but was not seeing the results I would have liked. I knew this was because I had not taken the time to properly focus on nutrition. At 56 years old, things are different than they were at 35 or 45. Weight loss and fitness are more challenging and require more work, much more. It was a home video that really woke me up. It was like someone had inflated me, and I was disgusted by what I saw. I tried the solitary method of trying to get myself into the gym, eating better. It worked maybe 10 percent of the time and the weight was increasing along with some depression at the lack of change. I happened to be with some friends talking about the subject and Coach Ted came up. My friend is in great shape, runs routine triathlons and marathons. I thought, why would you possibly need a health coach? Diet, accountability, positivity, and motivation were the reasons. So I signed up. And I am finally on the path I want and need. Weight is coming off (1/2 way to my goal), I'm eating better and am in better shape than I have been in years. No regrets.

After ordering countless diet books and trying more diets than I can keep track of, I realized that my endless cycles of yo-yo dieting would never end unless I made a change I could sustain. I didn’t have 40+ pounds to lose, or huge weight shifts, or 5 sizes dropped, but I can tell you that I learned how to better control my food intake, managed what I ate much more precisely and learned to not be afraid of food or carbs. I also learned that my food adversity towards carbs caused my own body to work against me, and it is taking me sometime to work through that, in order to become a better me, a me that understands better why my body does what it does.. I began my recomp, starting with your calculator, about 9 months ago. The nutrition changes, along with my old workout routine, have led to a 8 percent reduction in my body fat since January. In the last 90 days, I have gained about 1 pound of lean mass. I don't have numbers to figure my lean mass gains since January, unfortunately. I have stayed slightly below maintenance while keeping tight control of my protein intake, so it's not entirely unexpected that body fat would be going down quickly while muscle gain would be much slower. I'm grateful for your site and the video you sent me. It really set me on the road I'm on now. For once in my adult life I'm something besides a casual lifter. It has changed not only what I considered feasible, but also what my friends and family consider as well. That's that. Again, thanks for everything.

After a year of failing to lose weight on my own, after I started working with Ted, the weight started coming off consistently with just a few tweaks to my eating, workout habits, and macro tracking. I was fumbling around as such and hadn't fully committed to the macro method. I have found that Teds coaching helped me stay on track and commit to the program properly. My results have been steady. I can see physical changes in my body and how my clothing fits better. Other people have also noticed change in my physical appearance. My energy levels have increased and I feel great. This method of fuelling my body is probably the most easiest and less stressful method. Believe me when I say I've tried many methods in the past which work for some people, just not me. It's also changed my mindset which Ted also helped with. Being patient and learning to embrace the journey. am a 64 year old female…five feet 2 inches…starting weight 148.5 lbs. July 17, 2023 I started the Keto diet. I lost 10 pounds in the first month. Although there was successful weight loss, this diet was just not sustainable for me. Only being allowed 13 carbs, 78 protein and a whopping 81 grams of fat just wasn’t going to work for me. My daughter being concerned for me, came across the Macro solution and passed it on to me. I was very excited when I saw this program. Not only was I allowed to eat more carbs (101 grams), protein (97 grams)and a loss less fat (37 grams), this diet just made so much more sense. I was able to eat whatever I wanted as long as I stayed within my TDEE (calories) and my allotted macros. No more Keto flu and leg cramps. Long story short, I was able to lose 11 more pounds and that was without exercise! I was pretty proud of this but soon realized I had lost a lot of muscle mass in the process. Although I stayed within my calorie allotment I often didn’t eat my protein requirement but wasn’t too worried-I was losing weight slow and steady. I decided to go on Ted’s coaching program because I needed to gain back muscle mass and still lose ten more pounds. This wasn’t easy because as I was gaining muscle, I wasn’t able to lose weight very easily. At the end of my 12 week coaching program I only lost 4 1/2 lbs because I gained muscle since Ted helped me establish a healthy exercise program that I continue with to this day. My advice to everyone would be this…do the coaching program with Ted and make sure you exercise as well well as macro counting. You need to do both for healthy weight loss. Thanks Ted, for this program and your guidance. At a family gathering this past weekend, my fifteen year old nephew told his mother (my sister)that I looked ten years younger and after sharing this with me asked for the name of the program I was on. “Slow and steady does win the race!” My end weight was 125.5 lbs. I am happy with the progress I made and I feel great inside and out. Thanks again, Ted!

I wanted to lose weight and get in shape at the same time. I had put on around 30 pounds, switching from an active to a sedentary job. I had tried losing weight on my own by eating less and exercising, but I'd run out of energy by the time I got to the exercise part of my goal. I have lost approximately 20 pounds, while gaining at least 5 pounds of muscle in the process and I feel much better.

Although I believe in the program there is also a part of me that that doubted in the beginning how can i lose weight eating this much?! And I think my progress photo shows a lot and has prove me wrong! Deciding to work with Ted and the Macro Solution was exactly what I needed! Ted taught me a much better way to approach weight loss, health, and most of all mindset. Instead of consistently reducing my calories and macros, he did the OPPOSITE and increased my intake to a level I had never dared to eat before and guess what...It WORKED when nothing else would. I had been spinning my wheels without making any real progress until I met Ted and implemented his plan. I did not have to give up my favorite foods, instead I learned to incorporate them into my plan. No food groups are off limits and I am rarely hungry. My clothes fit better and I just feel better in general. Thanks for everything.

I work with a personal fitness trainer but after a year of doing the same things, I hit a plateau for five months. I tried several things, including more exercise, less calories, and more calories, and nothing worked. I contacted Ted, who gave me the tools for the missing piece - nutrition and macros. I was not paying attention to what I ate other than hitting my calorie goal. I had no idea how much macros affect my fitness goal. Ted also freed me from thinking I could not have carbs and fat - those I now see as essential. His resources were invaluable, and he is great to work with and always available for any reason. I could not have asked for a better experience. I lost 10 pounds after the 90-day program and gained muscle while eating whole-grain bread and nuts, which I love. I continue to track my macros and do multiple days of cardio and strength training each week. Macros and exercise have become essential to my daily life, and I have never felt better.

Ted also freed me from thinking I could not have carbs and fat - those I now see as essential. His resources were invaluable, and he is great to work with and always available for any reason. I could not have asked for a better experience. I lost 10 pounds after the 90-day program and gained muscle while eating whole-grain bread and nuts, which I love. I continue to track my macros and do multiple days of cardio and strength training each week. Macros and exercise have become essential to my daily life, and I have never felt better.

I would like to start off by saying I am very happy that I found Ted. My goal was to lose weight because I was at 214 when I started, and now I just hit 179 almost at my goal!!!! Ted helped me get my eating in control through macros, which at first was tuff, however now I'm very happy with my results. I liked that Ted was very patient with me, also that he is very experienced in helping people with their diet issues. I would very much recommend you give him a try because you won't regret it if you are willing to put in the work.

Instead of consistently reducing my calories and macros, he did the OPPOSITE and increased my intake to a level I had never dared to eat before and guess what...It WORKED when nothing else would. My husband had been a yo-yo dieter his entire adult life, and like so many others, he always believed that carbs were the enemy. I had heard that counting macros was the way to go and the most sustainable method of weight loss and maintenance, so I started searching for before and after photos of people who track macros. I stumbled across Ted’s website and was impressed with the testimonials seen on his website. I encouraged my husband to contact Ted. Best decision ever! Not only is my husband down 17 pounds so far, but I decided to give it a go as well. I’ve always eaten lots of carbs, but never balanced my diet with the right amount of protein and fat. I’ve never been a heavy person, but I was what I called “skinny fat”. As I approached 40, I was noticing the scale creeping up and decided I wanted to lose a good 12 pounds to lean up and get to my goal weight. Since hiring Ted, I’ve started working out 5-6 times a week, I feel strong and fit, and I have a good sense of what my body now needs to feel and look my best. My endocrinologist had cautioned me that it would be very difficult to lose weight. I began my journey with Coach Ted at a time when things could not have been more challenging. It was the middle of a pandemic, and as a public health official I had almost no time for myself, not to mention an adult special needs child and an aging parent. Nevertheless, as a physician I could see the handwriting on the wall - rising blood pressure and subtle but persistent EKG changes. Reading Coach Ted's bio and seeing the materials he provided on his website I decided that despite so many past failures (even more poignant because I had lost a lot of weight years earlier) I decided to jump in. This simple act was life changing. First, if you have had past experiences where you have been shamed for falling off the wagon or messing up, or you have self shamed, this is the guy to see. His absolute and complete support is a MAJOR GAME CHANGER. Most of us who have been chronically overweight have some pretty mean voices in our heads. Finally, he gives you tools to continue to use after your time with him is over. I'm down almost 25 pounds and I just turned 69. I do Pilates and with the help of Ted, I now eat 1,500 calories a day, track my carbs, protein and fats and the results have been amazing. I have lost consistently 1 ½ lbs. a week and am down 35 lbs. I no longer “diet” I now have established a very healthy eating attitude and I no longer will worry about putting on any weight.

Ted was very flexible and put together a plan for me that worked for me. My main concern was to not lose my milk production for my baby but also wanted to make sure I lost weight. Ted really helped me make sense of my nutritional plan. Keeping track of my macros was key to me losing body fat! His advice on various protein options (including collagen) really helped me meet my daily protein macros! Ted was super friendly and not judgmental at all when I had missteps (by no fault of his). I started working with Coach Ted to give me accountability with my food choices. I got that and so much more! Coach provides helpful insights and great tips to help you through, in addition to the accountability. The program is very organized, easy to do and thoughtfully planned out. For years, I restricted myself on my food choices and now at this time in my life, I wanted to be less restricted and more balanced. That is what I found with counting macros! I know that counting macros is the way I am going to be managing my weight loss goals from now on. Based on a questionnaire, Coach Ted is able to tell you how many macros to have each day whether you are exercising or if it's a rest day. This program, no it's lifestyle, is very flexible. You will need to log your food choices on an app, which is simple and easy to use. In addition, to Coach Ted keeping me accountable, he provides terrific tips. For example; great desserts to have while counting macros, that will help you succeed. I had one of the suggestions over the weekend and it was delicious! It will be on our weekly grocery list from now on. I am very happy to be working with Coach Ted. I am starting week 4. After ordering countless diet books and trying more diets than I can keep track of, I realized that my endless cycles of yo-yo dieting would never end unless I made a change I could sustain. I was always searching for a diet that promised fast weight loss, not sustainable weight loss. I had lost (and re-gained) weight several times in my life and it was always because the plans that I was following were too restrictive and completely unsustainable. One afternoon I came across Coach Ted’s website and was skeptical by the lack of gimmicks in his plan. It seemed a little too reasonable compared to all of the diets I had tried in the past. I decided to take a chance and signed up for personalized coaching that afternoon. I have been working with Coach Ted for almost 12 weeks now and am down 17 pounds! I was so surprised with how much I was allowed to eat and that no food are off limits. My initial goal was solely weight loss, but I have gained so much more from working with Coach Ted! His plan has taught me how to be a more mindful and intuitive eater. He has also helped me shift my focus away from the scale. Most importantly, I feel more balanced and in control of my diet than I have ever felt before! Coach Ted is always available and willing to help in any way to help you reach your goals. I am going to continue working with Coach Ted until I reach my goal weight. So first of all, I lost 19.5 pounds in 12 weeks and 4 inches off my ribs/natural waist! All of my other measurements went down as well, and though it was quite (very!) challenging in the beginning, having Coach Ted in my corner was key to keeping me motivated. It's easy to see how much he genuinely cares about his clients, it comes through in all of the weekly feedbacks and how he makes himself so available for encouragement and advice. Looking back, I can see how the changes I have made weren't anything dramatic, and definitely not unconventional, but I really couldn't have made that initial transition without the help of Coach Ted. I look forward to many more milestones, and getting some more coaching in a month or two, but I feel that my relationship with food, and with myself as well, has so thoroughly changed for the better that I no longer need the coaching in the same way, I just look forward to sharing my progress and the achievement of my goals with the person who was essential to my success, Coach Ted.
