First week is coming to a close of working out in Barbados for #BBSEO22. The amount of head space I have had to work on some cool projects has been incredible.

They say never to mix business with pleasure. But that is exactly what a great group of SEOs just did in spectacular Barbados. I felt humbled to be on the panel of speakers for the inaugural Barbados SEO, alongside several individuals who were a big part of my development as a young SEO; whether this has been via SEO conferences or their articles and resources over the years. Martin MacDonald, Kev Wiles and the rest of the MOGmedia Inc. have put together a remarkable conference set against the most stunning of backdrops, with every talk offering pure actionable SEO insight. Complemented by a networking day that none of us will ever forget. A day on a catamaran eating local fayre and drinking rum punch, snorkelling with turtles and basking in the Caribbean sunshine followed by a trip to the Mount Gay Distillery; a stunning end to three truly unforgettable days of SEO and networking with an amazing bunch. Big shout out to ALL the speakers and panellists; Stacey MacNaught, Barry Adams 📰, Rishi Lakhani, Grant Simmons (SEO), Kristine Schachinger SEO and Online Marketing, Kev Wiles, Heather Physioc, Maria Amelie W., Jenny 🌼 Halasz, Michael King, Gareth Brown & Patrick Hathaway.. and of course Martin MacDonald. Everyone smashed it out of the park and both days were brilliantly moderated by Judith Lewis. I have a feeling that this will be the first of many Barbados SEO events and I would highly recommend it when the 2023 tickets become available. It is well worth the journey, and as you can see in the pics, it is also a great opportunity to take your loved ones and make some memories in paradise. It has been a while since I really attended every session at a conference. This was one that won't easily forget, it was worth the flight (I hate long hauls). #BBSEO22 #BarbadosSEO #Barbados

What a spur of the moment decision can lead to. Jumping in last minute to fill up a vacant speaker slot at the inaugural Barbados SEO meetup involved hastily booking transatlantic flights and accommodation, rearranging a work schedule already impacted by COVID cases in the family, and trying to find clothes for weather I haven't been exposed to in over three years. And it was worth it. What a week it has been. I got to hang out with old industry friends, make a bunch of new ones, soak up knowledge and expertise from some of the best in the business, and most of all enjoy many of the wonders that the Carribean has to offer. 10/10, would do again. #BBSEO22 #BarbadosSEO #Barbados
