Holograms represent dual value to our audience. Initially they achieve a sense of amazement due to the intimate nature of the human performance unfolding in their real-world environment. They then get to remix that performance, enabling them to supplement their own social media output with UGC incorporating the augmented reality asset we have gifted them.

Presenting new collections during the COVID-19 pandemic was a challenge for fashion brands around the world and luckily, at JW Anderson, we were able to work with the team at Beem. Their hologram technology gave our digital presentations another dimension and an element of interactivity our fans enjoyed. 

J.W. Anderson was one of the most creative appointments at Paris fashion week, with a Beem app — buyers were able to see the clothing on a model virtually transposed in their natural surroundings using the app.

The 200% completion rate reinforced our expectation that audiences receive dual pleasure from holograms. Firstly, they are entertained by the performance occurring within their real-world environment, and secondly, they get the joy of creating their own entertaining UGC, being able to place and resize the holograms to their own personal taste.

Obviously it’s always important for me to connect with my fanbase and I’m missing them now more than ever. So, I wanted to create an opportunity where I could be with them, no matter where they are; their front room, at work, on their fuckin toilet or walking down the street. I had so much fun making this hologram, I hope you fuckin love it.
