When my brother was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma we were in a state of shock and had no knowledge of where to go and which are the doctors that are experts in this extremely rare tumors. I heard Curewheel was coming online at the same time our son, Timothy, was showing possible signs of relapse for acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The very day that the service was available, I sent in our information to seek out possible doctors and hospitals we could consult if he was, in fact, relapsing. Thankfully, his biopsy came back clear of disease and we are now armed with exceptional information going forward in case we need further consults or opinions, and that gives us confidence and peace as we wait out this time of uncertainty. My son was diagnosed with ALL in July of 2020. Thank God, our treatment has been by the book and we have steadily walked a straight path to healing, but I have seen first-hand families that did not have easy answers due to their rare diagnosis.
