Maybe all of that information is available somewhere in google land, but I did not have much time to prepare and your course gave me all the fine-tuning and comforting I needed, from researching facilities to understanding the purpose of the behavioral questions, to the exact wording of thank you notes. The interview questions were extremely helpful, and the mock interviews were really good.

[Particularly helpful]: resume and cover letter formatting, "low-risk, high-reward candidate," INTERVIEW RED FLAGS(!!). I felt so empowered being reminded that the interviews were two way, and that I have a voice and right to ensure I choose a job with a supportive work environment where I can learn to be the best nurse I can be!

Seeing the equipment and watching the procedures step by step was AWESOME

The demonstrations & explanations of feeding tubes, blood administration, med mixing, differences of the types of gauze & tapes, application of TED hose, and wound packing were helpful!

The visual walkthroughs of equipment were a great refresher.

The level of detail was really, really helpful.

I found this course to be so thorough, not just including the baseline info you would expect, but addressing those things that new nurses want to know, but might be afraid to ask. It has increased my confidence exponentially at the bedside while giving care and in interacting with my peers. I am so grateful for this course.

This was a good review after switching from 23 years of critical care to med-surg.

The self-compassion unit really helped me realign how I was treating myself after my first months as a new nurse. Previous I was journaling all the things I was doing wrong every shift and then diving back in my books to recorrect my errors. I was exhausted at not being good enough. Your tips on self-compassion changed my approach, offered comfort to being new and gave me the emotional support that I really needed. My journaling soon reflected what I did right on that shift, rather than wrong.

This course is very helpful as a new ICU nurse. Allow you not to feel overwhelmed in real world.

I was super nervous about starting in the ICU. I had a bad experience as a new grad in my initial residency program and was worried to move forward, especially being as new as I was, and in the ICU. So, I signed up for this course to help prep myself post-nursing residency and it was more helpful than my actual residency. Everything was well thought out, organized, and covered everything I needed for the basics of ICU. Of course, once you get into the ICU there are endless things to learn, but this is definitely a really good base. I recommend it to any nurse who felt like I did, and I think Kati did a really nice job with this course.
