Laura Now 14.5 Been listening to Imagine Golf regularly setting my BFHAGGs. This year it was to go from an 18 to a 15. I thought getting more birds was the magic, but it was getting more pars and playing from the right tee boxes…and the right mindset. Thank you Imagine Golf!!

Cathy Daly

Cathy 24.7 index My handicap has steadily been going up sadly. With it so has my disappointment. One day I found myself near tears with frustration. I knew it had to stop. So I made myself an epsom salt bath, turned on my imagine golf Ap and listened to Gary Players wise words. After hearing his pep talk I decided to reset my attitude , denote myself to more practice and keep perspective that at the end of the day it’s a game and a very hard one at that. My biggest hurdle is my negative self talk and Gary stressed the importance of our thoughts and words being positive and encouraging to ever have good outcomes. The mental game is everything.

John 18 I imagine losing that big deal, car engine light on, kids needing braces, wife wanting to go out with that obnoxious couple, stupid pin placement on 4, how does Bill have so much money ask before the turn. Imagine is helping me to forget all that and see the perfect ball flight of the tee, see the slope on the green and hear the ball drop in the cup! Imagine that.

I'm Preston, my handicap is 6 and heading down. I have played golf since I was five years of age and, due to my father's profession as a sportscaster, was afforded some wonderful opportunities through the game he introduced me to at a young age. The short version is that Imagine Golf appealed to me because as a golfer, now in my sixties, I knew I needed to "think" about golf differently. As a broadcaster, I consume a tremendous amount of information and Imagine Golf appealed to that side of my personality. I take in the information, thoughts, philosophies, etc. and consider what might apply to me and my game. It's been validating in some cases, challenging in others, and overall thought-provoking. I have set goals of competing again (it's been nearly forty years) and Imagine Golf is a tool in my arsenal to give me the best chance of playing—and enjoying the pursuit of playing—my best golf...ever. I used to be a scratch golfer and, yes, I think I can be better due, in part, to Imagine Golf.

My name is Allison and I am a tournament golfer (handicap index of +2). I downloaded Imagine Golf in the Spring of 2022 following a tournament in which my mental game clearly cost me strokes. I knew I needed to try something new to take my game to the next level. To put it simply, it worked. After downloading the app, I made a point to listen to the Daily Drive every day and I won the next 6 events I entered (No kidding). I had my all-time best golf season. By committing 5 minutes every day to listening to Imagine Golf, I played not only the best golf of my career, but also the most consistent. And I had the most fun I've ever had on the course. So, thank you Imagine Golf. It really did change my game for the better.

Jay Carroll - Pie Town, NM. 17 Handicap “…both on and off the golf course.” I really like that. Because, generally, I find that golfers are just good people who share a common interest in a very challenging game. The daily "bridge" is actually like a condensed book report intended to inspire thought. It is a coach, a teacher, a mentor and a guide. Regardless of one’s level of play, the daily bridge has value for both golf and life.

Imagine Golf has helped my game in many ways. Strategies for picturing and focusing where the ball needs to go (aim small, miss small), how to relax through mantras and set routines to gain confidence. Post-game reflection is probably my favourite right now. I find that what I’m focusing on is improving and enjoyment also. My handicap has dropped from 22 to 17.6 in less than 6 months.

I've gained the patience needed and learned the mental techniques that help me to regroup and find my game again during the round. I'm looking forward to my handicap coming down in the spring!

Graham, Handicap 2.8. Over the last 12 months, my handicap went out from 3.2 to 6.5. Playing tournaments on different courses didn't help, nor did the pressure I placed on myself to play well. A pre-Christmas ambrose event gave me an opportunity to play without pressure, and that was followed up by a New Year's Eve "Red Tee" Stableford club competition. The shorter distances meant my Golf Australia handicap of 6.4 became a playing handicap of 3 for the round. On the way to the course, I listened to a couple of Full Series and was reminded of the "Fairways-Green" (Annika) mantra and the "Do what it is you do." I arrived at the course relaxed, committed to focussing on each shot and enjoying the last round of the year. A solid drive and great second shot got me off to a birdie start, and two more one-putt birdies followed. Rather than expecting things to fall apart, my playing partners urged me to "Keep enjoying yourself, and keep on doing what you're doing." A missed putt on the 4th ended hopes of "4-in-a-row" but was followed by another birdie on one of the hardest holes on the course. 4 under after 5 holes! An offline tee shot left me in a bunker and a dropped shot stalled my run but I was 3 under at the turn. The back 9 started with another missed green, but my putt from the fringe went in and was the first of 4 birdies in a row. Along the way, my playing partners kept on encouraging me to keep enjoying myself and keep on doing what I was doing. One more birdie on the Par 3 17th and I signed for a 64, and won the comp with 47 Stableford points. At age 69 I had played the best round of my life: 16 GIR, 26 putts, 9 birdies. A life goal of shooting under my age on a par 72 course was a bonus but I didn't just beat it, I smashed it. It might be a tough score to beat in the years ahead. The power of encouragement and enjoyment came together and it was a great way to end 2022.

I became interested in the mental side of golf after reading "Be A Player" by Pia Nilsson and Lynn Marriott. I got the Imagine Golf App as a way to supplement the information in that book so I was pleased to see your segment on Pia. I have found that by applying the concepts of balance, tempo and tension, I have improved my ball striking immensely. It was by using Imagine Golf that I turned it into a mantra. The ideas of Think Box, Play Box and Memory Box instill a sense of practice and routine. Through your app I have realized how that routine alleviates stress and tension for me. I have begun to slow things down, trust in myself and let go of the poor shots more effectively. I feel as though I am armed with one more secret weapon when I am on the tee box. Thank you, Mark (16 Handicap)

Prior to Imagine, my handicap was 12+. After Imagine, I worked it down to a 5! I use Imagine all the time. I read the daily emailed quotes and apply them (sometimes to more than golf). Before tournaments, I play the stories on my phone to get into a positive mindset. This strategy surely works! I was able to capture a "major" in the AZ Golf Week Am Tour this past season and went 3-0 in our Western States "Ryder Cup" matches in October. If you aren't using Imagine, there is a gap in your game! Matt (2022 Tin Cup Champ lol)

Imagine Golf has changed my life! Listening to the Daily Drive, learning about pre and post-shot routines, pre-round strategy and post-round review—invaluable. And most importantly—mental preparedness and the ability to move on from a less-than-happy shot. And the concept of deliberate practice! I have more fun, and am more relaxed and happier with my game almost every time I play. And I was able to take six strokes off my index from the time I started with Imagine Golf!

Hello, my name is Tad and my GHIN is 7.8. As a student in the imagine Golf Academy, the mental aspect of my game has improved dramatically, as I have solidified so many processes that are important to success. I also have found that my non-golf life has improved as each day I reflect upon the daily lessons and remember how important golf is to me. My coaches at Imagine Golf have taught me systems that are tailored to my own game and what I need. I believe every golfer can benefit from the Imagine Golf Academy and I encourage you to join.

I'm a "sandbagging" 15.3 HCP and going down... :) These lessons are great to take to the course and range. I listen to an entire series as I drive or as I'm getting ready for bed (Ben Hogan, Dave Stockton, Rick Sessinghaus, Imagine Golf Coach Dave MacKenzie). I just joined the Imagine Golf Academy and I'm being challenged to set goals on how I will get there. If you are looking for a great way to "Think Better, Play Better," Imagine Golf is the place!!!

I started golfing later in my life and I've taken a variety of swing, putting, and fitness lessons over the past 5 years. All those have helped me get better at golf and enjoy it more and more. The biggest improvement though has come in the past year when I began listening to the weekly Imagine Golf series. After hearing about tips from sports psychologists, and male and female pros, on topics like a BHAGG (Big Hairy Audacious Golf Goal), pre-shot routine, and mantras, I've lowered my handicap from 15.8 to 9.1. I've been amazed and excited about the results gained from the mental side of golf. Most recently I've begun to incorporate visualization and focus techniques into my game helping to play more consistent rounds. If you haven't explored what a mental approach to golf can provide, you're missing a huge opportunity for improvement.

The proof is in the results and my index is down from hovering between 13 and 14 to 10 and below. The only thing I have changed is a daily listen to Imagine Golf. I practice and take lessons like I always have but Imagine Golf is a daily reminder of managing your process through positive thoughts and routines. There are many good drills shared. I have read several of the books. The main thing I have changed in my game and I continue to work on this is being committed to the shot I am about to take. That is supported through the vision drills, clearing your mind, not choosing a club until you are committed to the shot you are playing, and then you are in the best position to execute. Does it always work? Nope. It is still golf and things can happen. But based on my index trend it works well enough at times to work to refine the process while still investing time in the physical skills.

Yesterday, our golf course in Rockport, Maine on the ocean was available for the final round of the year. I went to the course with some anticipation of not performing well and skepticism regarding several of my shots. On my way to the golf course, I listened to the Imagine Golf Daily Drive with Dr. Bob Rotella. This instilled in me not only confidence but a reminder of the great joy and fun I have playing golf. It was the best round of the year and the most fun. I know it was related to the Daily Drive that morning. Importantly, imagine Golf also talks about how we can improve our lives both on and off the golf course. This has certainly been true for me, as I believe golf is metaphoric of life. I found my personal life in terms of confidence and understanding of myself much improved. I recently signed up for individual coaching sessions and already have found those interventions very helpful to me, not just with golf, but in my life off the course as well. So yes, imagine Golf has sincerely improved my life. I am more confident and having more fun playing golf, and I'm much more confident in my life off the course too.

My current handicap is 8.9 and I have listened to over 750 Imagine Golf Daily Drive episodes. I love Imagine Golf's inspiring and educational stories. I learn best through listening to people describe ways they overcome specific challenges and provide ideas and metaphors that I am able to test on the course and during practice. My positive and creative attitude about the game of golf has dramatically improved listening to Imagine Golf's roster of PGA professionals, authors, and teachers. I now am optimistic when I play a round of golf. Imagine Golf continues to make a huge difference in my golf and my life. I am very grateful!
