I am very happy with the whole PBS system, as I have implemented this across all our clients (almost 60 now!). It has made the EOM work flow smoothly and is very uniform, so I know that each client’s file is up to date and consistently “clean” and ready for reports to be generated whenever the client needs them. Because we have great systems in place, it has also allowed us to take on more clients, increasing our revenue. What’s not to love about that? 😉 Last year when the new worksheets were released I was a little overwhelmed by the changes and the fact that I knew I had to change all the reports all ready set up, but how good are the new reports! I love them and they are so quick and easy to generate each month. I’m looking forward to a break from the end of the week for a couple of weeks and then to jump into the new year with energy and drive, knowing that all clients files are up to date and ready for the new year!

Since bringing in the Pure Bookkeeping System alongside Pixie, my business has completely shifted. I’ve got a few staff now and what I love is that they can jump straight into PBC for clear instructions and training. I found Pure Bookkeeping via the Successful Bookkeepers Podcast when I was thinking of jumping out of the corporate world into bookkeeping. I didn't come from an accounting or bookkeeping background, but I did the certification and I found for myself, I needed a guideline and a roadmap to help me, and Pure Bookkeeping gave me that. I wanted to make sure that I was doing the work correctly and it just gave me confidence that I was doing the right checks. I think it just gave my business the framework for me to work within. I liked the spreadsheets which gave a good process. Especially, when you're busy, like I'm jumping from different tasks all day and it is reassuring to have something written down, I don't have to think about the next step and worry that I was missing anything. I enjoyed joining Pure Bookkeeping and when I was setting it up I thought that the team did that well. Also, I've enjoyed the courses and conferences Pure Bookkeeping has done. I think I would be a little bit lost on how to set up the structure. I loved that it was already available instead of having to make it up myself. It's kind of being handed it out as a platter almost. I think it's enabled me to pick up things for my clients. So for example, if they put expenses into the fixed AC register, the monthly reconciliation is very thorough and I found the system was good. I would recommend it to somebody who is doing bookkeeping, especially those who want to scale and grow. It's for business owners who want to ensure that their bookkeepers are providing the same level of quality as you are, that's what I like the most.

I love Pure Bookkeeping - it's all systematic. I feel like I'm all streamlined and not missing any bits. I can confidently say I've done all these checklists and I know that it's working well with my clients, and especially with Pure Workflow having all the information there for the client. I love how it links when you do an email. Even when I set up a template for a job and you put in their frequency, which matches the work that needs to be done. So if they've got weekly payment, weekly payroll or fortnightly, it'll match it. I find it good and haven't had an issue with it. Without Pure Bookkeeping, I probably wouldn't know what stage I'm at with my clients and if there's anything missing. Also, the community is good. I might not go in and ask questions, but I'll sit in the background and have a look at the messages and go, “Oh, yeah, I'll do that, or that's a good idea, or I haven't done that before!” So that's a good thing, too. Deb and Peter were doing a seminar in Perth and I just thought it was a great idea to go and have a look and have a listen. I had run my own bookkeeping business for many, many years beforehand and I found the seminar was great. It worked for me and I just joined up and got my business systemised. You know if you want to build your business, you’ve got to systemise. For me it’s just knowing that if you’ve gone to the checklist and you’ve done it all, you know that it’s all done, and that it’s all correct. And when you’re teaching a staff member, it’s much easier to show them if there’s a process rather than saying, I would just go and reconcile that bank account and they don’t. There are 20,000 ways to reconcile a bank account and you don’t always agree. But if you can see that it’s been reconciled, tick, that checklist is done, then you know that it’s done. It’s great for yourself and if you’re employing staff members. You know everything’s in order. It gives me comfort knowing you can find things and know things are done properly.

I customised the template to create a great website and two accountants have approached me and want to refer business to me. I set up fixed fees and direct debits with all the new clients and within six weeks of becoming a licensee I was able to resign my job! My next goal is to have enough money for my husband to reduce his hours and work part time by July 2018 so we can spend time on our property. Everything you need to market your business is in the PBS. There's a checklist you can use to do a "Health Check" of the clients data file, client engagement letters, professional presentations for prospects and Accountants and much more. Becoming a licensee was the best business decision I've made. The PBS has already paid for itself in only six weeks!

I was very nervous when I decided to take the plunge and join Pure Bookkeeping in March 2018. Although a BAS Agent, I was working part time and really didn't have much confidence that I'd be able to make this work. With Debbie's support in the first 12 months as well as the support from the awesome PB community I'm tracking to earn $50,000 for 19/20 FY! Not big bikkies for some but great for a part time mumma bear (now home schooling as well with Covid 19). When I think back to the concern I had at the start and wondering if I was making the right choice for my business (and my family), this decision has actually been my saving grace and definitely worth pushing through the unknown.I’m so proud of what I've achieved which I'm certain I couldn’t have done without the support of the community and the Pure Bookkeeping System.
