@lucianghinda @strzibnyj @rubyonmac I could not agree with you more. Two years ago, I switched from Linux to an MBP for a Rails contract and struggled with the Ruby setup. @rubyonmac helped immensely and is so easy to maintain.

@strzibnyj @rubyonmac - I bought this last year, I think, and never looked back. It works on Mac flawlessly so I never spend time to fix a Ruby installation - really worth the money if I factor in the time I would need to put it to fix an installation.

@strzibnyj Using this one rubyonmac.dev , didn't have much problems since then with various ruby installations (we have various ruby versions from 2.6.5 to 3.3 in our projects) and gem installations.

First time I tried setting up react native dev env on my then new m1 was a nightmare, setting up compatible ruby and cocoapods versions didn't work, managing ruby versions for projects was hell,do i use sudo or not But everything changed when I came across rubyonmac.dev/blog twitter.com/flaviocopes/status/1767178119583023505

I had to uninstall and reinstall ASDF from scratch today. Dealing with version managers is never my favorite and I ended up running into several issues along the way. With almost every issue I looked up Moncef Belyamani's Ruby on Mac site was a high ranking result and had clear and precise instruction on how to resolve the issue. I bought the Ruby on Mac software earlier this year and if only I had set it up I can only imagine how painless the process would've been 😅

@alexrudall @stevediaconou If you plan to do a fresh install and you will need a wide range of ruby versions I recommend @rubyonmac It saved me so many hours!

Found this gem from @monfresh about syncing up ruby versions in your projects: Replace the line in your Gemfile that hard-codes the ruby version (e.g. "ruby '3.1.2'") with: `ruby File.read(".ruby-version").strip` From his excellent @rubyonmac project. Thanks!

I migrated to a new MBP with the M2 Max right before vacation. Coming back, I got deep into the weeds today trying to install a new version of Ruby. After an hour or so with limited success, I decided to give @rubyonmac a spin. Got set up and back to work in short order.👌👌

Paying for a tool to set up #RubyOnRails dev environments may seem ludicrous! @rubyonmac has repeatedly saved me many hours of time & even made installing older versions of Ruby like 2.3.4 on a Mac M2 Pro a breeze. And @monfresh offers great support and more🥇
